An unmissable walk in the Chamonix valley, Lac Blanc offers an unforgettable panorama of the Mont Blanc range.

Road access: Head towards the Col des Montets (between Vallorcine and Argentière). Park in the large Trélechamp car park, a little below the pass.

Itinerary : At the Trélechamp car park, take the signposted path “Lac Blanc 2h45” which leads into the forest. After a fairly long series of bends, follow the direction of Lac Blanc at the sign.
After a new series of bends, the path leads to the imposing Aiguillette d'Argentière.
To continue, you will have to carefully use the ladders attached to the rock walls; no problem to have, the ladders are not exposed to vacuum, only the passage over the scale requires greater attention. After this little escapade, continue the path in bends until you reach a fairly massive cairn accompanied by signs.
Continue towards Lac Blanc. The path will pass near the Lacs des Chéserys: do not hesitate to stop there to admire the panorama of the Mont Blanc range. Further on, the path invites you to take a final ladder that is easier to climb than the first ones. A final climb in large blocks of rocks will allow you to reach the Chalet du Lac Blanc as well as the lake.
